My Mom traditionally buy tropical looking foliage plants for the living room. That doesn't get much light and they all die. She just replaces them. What easy to grow plants are there that tolerate low light and look vaguely tropical?

In the latest months I've noticed new leaves on several of my plants grow out very small and stop growing. It's not necessarily that the whole plant has stopped growing - just the new leaves come out stunted. I do have artificial lights above
