Looking to buy some fig trees from a HIGHLY recommended nursery. It can be anywhere in US. There is guy out in NJ sells some nice looking fig trees but he will not ship them, you have to pick it up. Its about 8hrs from where I live, so cant go

So I was driving on highway 168/158 from Norfolk VA down to Hatteras Lighthouse for a day trip. As I crossed into rural land, I soon realized the profuse population of large fig trees in this area. I saw a fig tree at least every mile... at least.

I live in MD and am thinking of uprooting a forsythia bush and putting a fig in its place. The space is not huge and is right outside my kitchen. Flavor is important. I have four young kids and I want them to grow up loving fresh figs!!

I would like the sweetest Fig that at least has some pretty good richness flavor. And can survive most winters here with little to no die back, but will always come back from the base (roots) if there is a rare near or below 0F degrees temperature
